It is seen that Top of the Pops is the best selling music magazine of the year 2009. I have looked at what the magazine offers on the BBC website and it mentions that "Every issue is packed with amazing star gossip, plus hot fashion and beauty advice, sexy lads, and side-splitting cringes." Moreover, its a magazine with an edge. The magazine offers extra details like things such as "HOT FASHION", this is just the kind of result i have been hoping for enabling me to make a magazine that sells well to the public.
It could be seen that Mojo helped obtain high publicity due to its Publisher 'Emap'. However, it could be questionned whether they still have this publicity and sales as 'Emap' sold its its consumer magazines and radio divisions to German publisher H Bauer for £1.14bn IN 2007. Therefore, it would help if the figures for 2010 were released as i could see if they remained the same or if they have changed. Therefore, im having to place that magazine out of my collection of data for now however, hopefully the results shall be released very soon inorder for me to take it into account.
Q magazine recieved very high figures due to its ability to get an interview with anyone at anytime whereas other magazines can't therefore causing sales. Moreover, it could be plausable that if the magazine was to have high publicity which i certainly hope it would and there is evidence of that, it would become possible that interviews with high celebrities would be possible.
